That Silent Place
I retire
Into my silent place
That warmth
That light
That grace
Those hands that embrace me
Amidst the cold, dire, hatred of man
And the eyes that see
So much, of who I am
And what I
Can be.
I retire
Passing through many gates
Of late
I pass through words
That have been served upon me
Remnants of fear -
It is here
Where I recline
And where I shine within a tear.
