If You Should Ask Of Love
I am glad that I went with love
That I noticed it
As faithfully as the sun it shone
And it was stretching back,
And gracing many places.
I felt it’s burning as it turned
And faultless kisses as it passed
And everywhere it seemed
The roots of things
Began to sing to me.
As midnight arrived
I gathered honey from the air
The wet of earth, enveloped around me
I was smothered by this cool, rich scent.
And now everywhere
As the light of the universe encircles us
I adhere to its love
For it is the only truth I am certain of.
