Flame
Not for the sun or the stars above
Their piercing heat, and golden lamps ablaze
We bathe in glory follow in their ways
But more for the years and the deeds that invigour us
For hidden tears, and memories of kind
At first we shun and vehemently ignore
But loves design will conquer this and more
If hearts align and hands confirm
And so allow our lights to burn
To blissfully proclaim
We’d surely have men feel the same.
