Sink or Swim

The sky grows dark,
The warm breeze becomes cold,
The light turns to shadows,
As the land awaits the fire from below.

Hands rise to the heavens,
And panic covers the earth like a stain,
Prayers and sacrifices are made,
So many are offered in vain.

The castle of mirrors breaks and shatters,
Explodes into a thousand shards and pieces,
The earth's floor shakes and quivers,
And the wall of stone crumbles into the sea.

Check out of the hotel of life,
Is the elevator going up or down,
Casted into the great sea in-between,
Will you swim or sink and drown.
