Death is inevitable
Transition from life inescapable
But not to be trampled in a rumble
This senseless stampede is like a jungle.

Some mothers in the news who are fed up with crying babies
Shaking, starving, maiming, drowning, shooting babies
Women's bodies, women's rights
Don't take away her baby in a dash of flight.

Government sending troops to war
How ironic, waging war to bring peace afar
Spending trillions like an obsession causing recession
Endless meetings and sessions not coming to secession.

High school boys and college youths in a flight of fancy
Dash to school and shoots randomly in a might of frenzy
A child walks in a military facility and ask for water
Turns out he is a suicide bomber.

People are mad at the war in Middle East and Iraq
Parents are mad at their kids playing violent video and music tracks
And yet one Black Friday when the dawn cracks
They dashed off like soldiers killing one and the merchandise they attacked.

What is this culture of materialism?
We have enough of consumerism
You get mad that your job went to China and Phuket
You stand hours in the cold for deals but never to the Capitol and picket.

Six billion people and everybody feels lonely and sad with emotion
Your love is infinite and your soul expression
You don't need validation and another for definition
Be still in your heart and mind and change the world with action.

What this country needs is a return to values and tradition
Coexisting with tolerance in a culture of peace, spirituality and meditation
Love, compassion and nonviolent communication is the answer to every notion
All are one in every nation.
