There's no time like the present
but it's not all sand my dear
the sun shall shine as always
on the morrow in glorious radiance
when you're awakened by the touch
of that soft warmth
you'll see it's true
for there's no need to doubt
we'll be here just like we were
yesterday and two days from now
and so shall you be with us
many years from now to reflect back
upon how it was today
I can see the pathway to come already
and it flows on as far as eyes can see
these moments will one day seem
a lifetime ago
in a lifetime from now
because that's the least I'd accept
and the least that we'll be given
so sleep gently in soft slumber
reassured in the silent embrace
of days yet to come
and years yet to pass
all of them spent
with all of us together
