Waves
Drop a pebble in a pond
watch the ripples that it makes.
Rocks aren’t falling from the sky
in ocean’s causing wakes.
One after one
they constantly come
washing the shoreline free,
of empty shells
and footprints made
as far as the eye can see.
The morning sun
over the foam
like glass reflects the light.
I sit and watch
seagull’s fly by
wings outstretched in flight.
So why do the waves
to the seashore
with tides come high and low?
Is Neptune bored
under the sea
and has no lawn to mow?
All will be fine if this continues
that the oceans and land still greet.
While I am here enjoying
waves passing over my feet.

This looks like a re-write? Didn't you write something similar to this before?
Like it, it flows nicely.

I've read this now
a few times, I like it. There is a rhythm to the body of it, with the rhyme and I think with how you ended it there is a musing to it a thoughtfulness of how and why. I like the neptune stanza, enjoyable to read. raskin

I have been re-visiting my poems and changing/rewording them, adding puncuation etc. to try and get the meaning and intention more to the reader than before. I have taken the liberty( can't get anything by you two hahaha) to re-post them. Thanks for reading it again :)
