Owning my pain
leaving little more than hope.
It drains me
leaving enough to cry.
it shapes my stature.
Without strength
it holds me down.
yet it finds my hiding place.
I can ignore it
yet it has me as a captive audience.
I am in debt for its worth.
My pain comes from within,
I am the only owner.

the most expensive thing w/o a price
I like what you're getting at here, Ron. The pain we carry must dealt with and is a lot more expensive than anything else.
and it must be attended to
I can't afford not too ..... Thanks Neo for reading and commenting
