Meatball Momma
With both hands
and all her might
she sinks them in the meat.
Squeezing hard
and mending all
this process does repeat.
I sit and watch
at beckon call
and don’t get in the way.
My two cents stays
inside my head
I’ve nothing much to say.
Like a vet
with neutered dogs
balls fall upon the plate.
Cows would line up
if they knew
their culinary fate.
Boy I’m such
a pasta face,
meatballs and spaghetti.
Dinnertime,
no need to call,
cause I’m always ready.
Fill up my bowl,
a slice of bread,
lots of grated cheese.
I need a bib
around my neck
to protect my sundries.
So glad she gets
her anger out
while cooking us this meal.
Cause she’s good
at pounding meat
don’t wish to be the veal.

what is it
with men, they like to watch a woman cook. My Dad liked to watch my Mom cook, my husband likes to watch me but he also likes to help. raskin
Not just watch
Hey Raskin, my grandfather and grandmother from Austria where chef's and when they came to America he was a chef at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan NY. So as I grew up ( we lived with them) I learned how to cook. I am quite a good cook myself BUT !!! I do not get in the way of my Meatball Momma. When she comes to my place I cook some of the times and she watch's. I had to be very self sufficent over the years and cooking was a must. This man doesn't eat peanut butter and jelly for dinner NO SIR NOT ME :)

Oh, Ron, why'd you have to go there! LMAO! Did your grandma ever make you "Goulash?" That has to be my favorite Austrian dish. Ah, I miss it. And ever have an Oesterjause? Man, those Osterreicherins kennt die Esssen.
Oh Yeah
Let me tell you they made every type of Austrian dish and then some. I remember meine gromutter would make breakfast crepes rolled in jams and jellys sprinkled in sugar powder, she would call them plochingen , I think I am spelling it wrong but it was the best. As far as the goulash, as kids we were told "Eat it all, it will stick to your ribs and make you strong like bull" Ah those were the days......... thanks for reading and commenting
