Until the Day We Die

Ron Kinard (c) 2-2009

early morning painter
the rhymes begin to flow
in the eastern skies
the sun begins to glow

peaceful, parallel moments
nature meeting mind
descriptive verbal passage
illusive and unkind

artistic, vocal scribblings
instead of a paintbrush
waking another moment
there's no need to rush

crimson-blue horizon
as far as you can see
momentarily blocked by
an ancient oak tree

stretching out its folage
enjoying every ray
worshipping the sunrise
that's blessing us today

beautiful winter morning
cool and crisp, so sweet
making the morning worth it
to be upon your feet

heat is rising quickly
the higher the sun goes
warming each appendage
hands and feet and toes

priceless, cost free treasures
making life worth while
thanking God above
with simple prayer and smile

blessings from our Creator
to get us through the day
lighting up our path
to guide us on our way

watching over us always
the sun, the moon, the sky
God is with us all ways
until the day we die

Calm

like watching clouds float across the sky...beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think this piece is beautiful, very beautiful ♥
