I Will Never be Enough

too many indiscretions
livid pasts combining, consuming
the present
caught up in the past
the moment at hand is lost
gone forever
in the blink of an eye
the present, now passed
a livable moment, momentarily
caught up in a whirlwind of emotion
emotional upheaval erupting
like a volcano in its prime
consuming anything and everything
in its path
destroying and wreaking havoc
until it is spent, peace at last
for a moment
peaceful instant, the clean up begins
“I’m sorry” dominates the conversation
once again, a past moment surfaces
like a bloated body in a cold lake
once again, the tremors begin
signaling the pent up pressure
building up and rising from deep within
It’s always me, my vents, my wrath
writing about hatred and sorrow
depression, suicide, nightmares and pain
directed at you and about you
or so you think
your assumption couldn’t be further from the truth
It’s not that I say “I love you”
I mean it with all my heart
I try to show it with every action
every word, every thought
I live and breathe for you
you are my world and I sadly realize
I will never be enough
no matter what I say or do to convince you
you never believe me, believing what you want
you can’t except the fact that you are loved so much
unless you open up your heart and perceive what I say
you will never believe you are enough
fact of the matter is the realization that I am the one
that will never be enough to convince you that
you are enough for me

Common Feelings..
Common feelings here Ron, well expressed. I've been both 'the person in question' and 'the recipient' of this same dilemma.
Sadly in the end, it is down to the person in question to change/recognise/truly accept.

getting through a wall of lifetime insecurities is truly a challenge! Why do some folks think they have to belittle someone, trap them in a box and brainwash them to their own twisted ways of thinking and someone else comes along and tries to do whats right and show them true love and they can't except it? I feel it all,can't help but identify with this piece.love shouldn't be a constant stuggle.like John Lennon said,love is a gift,love is a souvinier,once givin never forgotten,never let it disappear.at least I think that's how it goes lol.

Close enough
for government work, but since there is no love for government sometimes we have to take what we can get! Love is definitely a two way street, like a teeter-totter and it sometimes gets off balance. Glad you like it, thank you for the read and comments!~Ron
