oh my gosh, this ain't right
will I have a chance to post
this isn't a competition
to see who writes the most
I lost the little poem I wrote
I didn't have a chance to click-it
call the police, call out S. W. A. T.
and give the guy a ticket
my poem completely dissappeared
was it lost or taken
if I can't see what I wrote
I'll probably toss my bacon
I worked real hard to write the words
for only a minute of glory
now I've lost my train of thought
I'll never finish my story
call the detectives, the F. B. I.
I want my posting back
maybe they'll come and shoot the guy
or maybe arrest the hack
whatever the case, happens to be
I lost my moment of fame
my poem is lost, I'm going to cry
my life won't be the same

Seems I hurt someone's feelings? Poor baby! You really don't want me to get upset MC. I probably have 5000 poems and i'll stay up for the next week posting them. I'm not trying to hurt you, criticize or upset. I was positive in the one comment of the twenty or so posts you made. Try limiting yourself and give everyone a chance to read and appreciate what you've posted, don't keep spamming! (This isn't the "Moonchild Show") The whole idea is for critique (good bad or indifferent) for EVERYONE, not just you, so if you can't take it, you shouldn't post it!
p.s. you inspired my thought for writing this, you should be impressed! I think I'll claim you as my new muse~

MC your on the Showcase what a day or so and you already are causing waves. Let me give you some free advice. Ron is correct in suggesting that you
1. Post one poem at a time as in one a day at best.
This will give everyone a chance to read "one of your works" and then comment on it. To see multiple poems in a row means either you don't understand common courtesy or you think way to much of yourself and think we all just want to read your poems. Plus that steps all over others who just posted. You will get many more readers and comments this way.
2. Be nice to others. Expect that some people will not like your poems and they can nicely tell you that, that is freedom of speech.The more you post on others the more they will get to know you, read and comment on yours. It's a two way street.

I'm new here and the last thing I want to do is come across as a bully! I'm not, I'm really good natured and love to make people laugh. I'm sorry this got carried as far as it did. Actually, it never should have happened. Poor planning on set up? Maybe, but until you drive a car, you never know how it's going to run, and in this case you kind of have to "learn from mistakes". it takes a lot to set up a site like this, it really is alot of work. I've moderated on poem and chat sites and sometimes it is full time work (especially for the webmaster) and it only takes one "bad apple" to start the "rotting process". The thing about poetry/writing sites is an ego thing to some degree. Some people need more attention than others, some are more sensitive, some, like me, don't care what others say. I write for me and I share it with those who want it, I don't try to force myself on anyone! If someone doesn't like what I write, doesn't like the meter, rhyme or whatever, tell me! If you are an english major and you see a major faux paux in my work, please correct me! I have NO PROBLEM with someone even tearing my work to shreads, I appreciate ANY input, positive, negative or indifferent. But, opinions are like @$$holes, everyone has at least one! LMAO
I try to read and leave a POSITIVE comment on EACH poem I read, if I don't like what I read, I keep my comments to myself. I figure that's fair. If there's no comment, then it probably means I haven't read it yet. On the other hand, I read trash, and I go on to the next poem, hoping for better, I really try to be fair and certainly DON'T want to hurt ANYONE's feelings!
Freedom of speech is an AMERICAN right, and I stand behind it 200%! It's like this "don't start anything and there won't be anything!" You start with me, and I WILL DEFEND MYSELF! I don't really feel like I've done anything wrong, maybe I jumpped the gun a little, but RUDENESS has no place in my life! I want my few minutes of fame just like everyone else. I post for critique, I listen to what people have to say, I appreciate their input, how else will I grow and improve? (whether I use their advice or not is my perrogitive) I want to put out my best, to be respected and appreciated, to leave behind my "Fingerprint" and give something to others, now and hopefully years down the road.
If you think I can help you, I will go out of my way to do so. I DO NOT know it all, never have, never will, it's not like that! I've learned and been through alot in my 50 years of being on this planet and have a triple doctorate from the "School of Hard Knocks". If I can share what I've learned and help only one person, then I've done something positive in my life and it makes me feel better along with taking another step to becoming a better person.
GRRRR! I didn't mean to get up on a soap box, only wanted to apologize and try to make amends to any feelings I hurt. I've said enough!~ PEACE!

I checked the "wrote and lost box" I think I found some of yours, Ron's and Ray's work, most of what I'd posted was stacked on top. That's ok, I pulled it back out, it should be back in circulation any day now...LMAO
