You've said that you cared,
oh please don't even try it.
You've said that you loved
me,ha-ha-ha what a riot.
If this is you loving me,then
you can save it all for him.
I'm throwing in the towel,
know I can't and won't win.
God must've seen the day
and decided he'd curse it.
Times been wasted and for
what,hardly seems worth it.
Thought I didn't have regrets,
now realizing I have many.
Made my own excuses,but
now I can't think of any.
Had to be real,I mean why else
would you keep me hanging on.
Love had me blinded,but deep
down I knew the truth all along.
Disreguarded my feelings,
and did it all with a smile.
Playing innocent but knowing
what you're doing all the while.
Secretly its like you enjoyed it,you
wanted to see how much I can take.
Well you finally did it,there's no
more heart left for you to break.
Before I couldn't handle it,but
I learned to deal with the pain.
No longer will I be party to
this contemptuous disdain.
I attached so much value to you
that I forgot my own self-worth.
But I'm changing all that now,
guess you can call it a rebirth.
Not saying I don't love you,those
words will never escape these lips.
But you got to understand,I'm folding
this hand,I'm down to my last chips.
Can't help but to think if it wouldve
worked out,now we'll never know it.
You can live with it I'm sure,but you
just lost the heart of this here poet.
