ALL ABOUT THE MONEY

You said that you're in love but,im
seriously doubting if thats true..
You said that it didn't matter but,
money really is a big deal to you..
Is that what you want,to be with a guy
just so he can buy you what you need..
You made it seem you just wanted someone
that'll honestly love you and your seed..
Can't put rocks in your watch for you to
look at when you need to know the time..
I don't make that kind of money, but let me
tell you,I work hard for my nickle and dime..
I can't promise you that in the future
the streets will all be paved in gold..
what I can promise is to always love you,
til we're both grey, wrinkly and old..
what,do I have to be like some white collar
guy before you'd consider being my wife..
Well sorry money isn't everything to me,I
think there's more important things in life..
I know I may be alot of different things but
above all,I know im a hell of a good man..
Seems nowadays that doesn't really matter,
less I come bearing expensive gifts in hand..
If that's what you really need and want then
please tell me,so that I can just move on..
I don't wanna waste nobodys time,believe
me,you just say the word, and i'll be gone..

I Can Surely Relate

Now that's what I call breakin it down and telling like it needs to be told. Unfortunately there's many women out there who only care about how fat your wallet is rather than how big you heart is. The capacity to love, in the long run, is what makes one rich.

Write on.

Pete

lol thanks

I think you're right about love in the long run...but it plays out more like nice guys finish last for me lately...either way, thanks for taking the time to read and also for the comment, its well apreciated....Ricklovin

wonderful

i love this rick! i hate materialism too and i wish people woul live for more than just money.
as a woman i also hate it when most men i meet think women are just after their money, because some of us see beyond material things and see the value of life and love!great read as always! keep up-mona-

I know right

its crazy how nowadays females are all about the all mighty dollar....and men over the years have been put in that position to pre judge a womans motives, not saying its fair but it is what it is...im just glad to hear you're one of the good ones lol...thanks again mona for reading and for the comments that I love so much lol...muaaaahhhh,sending you some love...Ricklovin

Oh NO…we got smoke…lol

For years, I was the soul moneymaker for my household. I worked 80 hours a week to support my family. The guy? Oh, he stayed at home with the kids. No, since you ask, he did not clean, cook, or even brush my daughter's hair before putting her on the bus. Nevertheless, you can bet your ass that every time I took a trip to Wal-Mart for tissues and soap he would find almost a hundred dollars worth of stuff that he wanted, plus about a pack and a half of cigarettes a day. Then on my days off, he would wander off because "he needs a break from the kids". Shit, it works both ways. Relationships aren’t supposed to work like that. Two should share the burden that way both can reap the benefits. It’s not all about money. Yes, money is needed to run a household, but I bust my ass every day just watching two toddlers. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, screaming, whining, more cleaning, and outings...(let's not even go there...not fun) being a stay at home mom isn’t exactly easy street. I think that we have forgotten how to differentiate between wants and needs. I’m a big fan of traditional rolls. I believe that a man should provide for his family, and a woman should be the homemaker. I know exactly the girl you are talking about, I used to live with one. She would tell me that she would never go out with a guy unless he was going to start handing over his money. It’s just not right. Ok, I’m rambling…sorry…I like your poem…it’s got the old think tank workin’!! Oh NO…we got smoke…lol

geez
