The World Has Just About Had It
Skies silence broken by mans flight.
Ripples on the ocean, disturbed by engines.
Landscapes littered with man's delusional sight.
And mother earth fighting back with a vengeance.
Air gone gray from man's careless way,
Rain tastes bad even on it's good day.
Butterflies fly in a confused way,
And we are the baddies in the world play.
Filthy wind blows through our homes,
Across our beds and among our thrones.
Polluted dust sweeps deep within,
The very world that we sit in.
And who says what, And who hates who?
Is all we can say, and all we can do.
Who is to blame and who is the best?
what's a good heart?, and, it pumps in whose chest?
We dance and we sing while alarm bells ring,
Earth as we know it, is changing every thing.
The sun is alight preparing a fight,
To take revenge on man's delusional sight!
Will it get it's chance to interrupt the dance,
Or will we finish it all, killing the hope our Creator grants.
Will the sky rain fire?, might the oceans spill?,
Could the air take breath from our own free will?
We are a creation and created to choose,
We have as much a chance to win as to lose.
But we have taught ourselves through the years.
That it's easier just to get along with our peers.
We are afraid of our own shadows it seems,
We have our own colors, and stick with our teams.
If only we could remove our heads from clouds so far out,
We could get thinking and just work this massive crisis out!

How true and how scary that it is true.Good write.Sitting here deep in my woods with forest for miles around.Even I see it.They recently spayed under power lines to kill the plant growth there and I wonder how far down they think that will go into water supplies.Big concern my well is spring fed.All my gardens are organic but not many are because it requires more work.I own and operate Echowwod Farm I can keep pesticides out of all my gardens and the greenhouse but I can't stop the spaying county and power co. does.

we abuse the very thing that gives us such comfortable and beautiful lives to live....It'd make one wonder....how far must we push our luck before we realize its all too late to change?...thats very disturbing news about how they spayed under power lines to kill plant growth.....It's a sad old world out there, and to think......the destruction of this earth is printed big and bold on the fore head of man kind.......thanks 4 reading and commenting....peace.

I couldn't agree more about everything you said with such rhythmic fire! We are being way too stagnant in this new century, focusing on the same old problems we had in the sixtees. I also wrote a poem recently called "here comes the rest of our lives" about where we are today. But, this was on point my friend! BRYCE

I see so much going on in this world of ours...it's like a horor movie. The only thing lacking is the anti-Christ. The Christian book predicted that in the end of times, the elements would turn against us. Wars and rumours of war would mount against us...and are we not seeing these signs????
But also turn back the pages of time, my dear. Look back to ancient Greece, and ancient Rome. They too experienced countless wars, and strange weather.
Even in the 1700's, when the industrial age was just getting started, weather patterns began to change...so severely it snowed in August!
Greenland used to be a tropical paradise...but is covered with ice to this day. Iceland was once a skating rink, covered with snow, but all the snow has long since melted.
The world is changing, and has been for thousands of years.
There is no anti-Christ to haunt us...and my love, I do not believe that we are near the end of times.
If God were coming He would have surely been here by now!

This poem had nothing really to do with the end of time and the antichrist, however, if u have read some of my other writes about these matters, you will be sure of my views.
I don't think that weather and wars are the only signs for the end of time, there are so many other things that would indicate (to me) that the final hour is around the corner, travel, communications, tv, wide spread homosexuality, fashion, oh there's so much more but anyways, no matter what time it is, we should all just take care of the world that bore us and we should never stop remembering the One who created it in the first place.....thank again and I always appreciate your comments, peace.

I m so sad I am human sometimes. some dont deserve the knowledge or the power they have.. I watch with dismay the news and the lies. And I think am I really that much of an idiot that they think I will believe them.!!!!? Fabulous and clever piece of writing.
