You left us before we had the chance, to thank you for your stay.
You came and went within one month, and left us with that day.
That day of Eid we all enjoyed, we celebrated with smiles upon our faces.
We headed for the hills of joy but soon came to know, there's no such places.
We began to think of those of us, who weep within with hate.
Whose families were torn apart and help was just too late.
We thought about the war, that spills the Muslims blood,
We thought about the hunger we felt, We could no longer then feel good.
We thought about our sisters, raped within their beds.
And thought about our brothers, with hatred in their heads.
We thought hard and long about the fact, that we will always be attacked.
And our culture, pride and courage won't ever stay intact.
We even thought about the way, we are shown as cruel and cold.
Displayed as evil warlords that fight, so brainwashed lost and bold.
Just because I hate some leaders, it don't mean amma blow up the people round me,
Its sad how the people I respect, are haters that live and ultimately surround me.
Why am I suspicious to those I show a pleasant smile and word.
Why are so many people being taken, suspected of acting out something that they heard?
I'm no longer safe here, it seems if I'm not with you I'm against you.
My speech aint free nor my thoughts, and there's nothing we can do.
How did the suspects spend their Eid?
Did they die and did they bleed?
Did they cry and could they pray,
Will they be let go?what year, what day?
Did the invaders of our lands have mercy on that day?
Did Palestine sleep well on Eid, did they smile and did they play?
Eid, the one and only celebration permitted in Islam.
The least the world can do, is let us have this day, without a bomb or bang!
