''WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER''
You have been kicked around all your life,
Blamed for every thing that's wrong,
Your disowned, divorced or abused.
You've been hurting for so long.
You lost your love, you lost your pride,
You lose every thing you hide,
You have no home, you have no money,
They all laugh, but it's not funny.
You search for peace down the neck of a bottle,
You swallow your pain with a pill.
The rain follows your steps and soaks your dreams,
It's with hate your belly you fill.
You were neglected and you were put into care,
No one told you how life was unfair.
You went to jail, and you killed a man.
You were disgusted at how God made the plan.
You witnessed grief and you witnessed desire,
You witnessed love and its red hot fire.
You saw him die, and you saw her leave,
Then you saw mercy, and had to believe.
You remembered one said ten years back maybe longer,
''That what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger.''

it's all very true! you can't allow life's misfortunes to keep you down, and you don't giveup and commit suicide because of them either. just as long as u remember that someone paid a hefty price for u to be here, you can never give in so easily over petty grief. peaceout brotharepenter -bryce

Good Write
This is a good write repenter, I think a lot of readers will relate to the trials of life in this piece, I know I do! The title of this piece caught my eye, I've said this line to myself all my life! Guess I must have heard it somewhere as a kid and it stayed with me. You've done a great piece of work here, enjoyed reading,

Excellent poem
Very profound and well-versed
I’m tired of being “strong,”
i am weak, i am fragile
Excellent poem expressing a feeling that is becoming common-at least I read it in others poems, and I feel it myself.
