Wipe my hand
Sitting back, almost reclining
watching the heart
as it is squeezed
drop by drop
I watch
each emotion escapes
tighter, unflinching
as it turns white
the last drop
falls
I examine the splattering
as I set the heart down
wiping my hand
I turn and walk
away.
