In this day and age I get frustrated.
I know, I know I shouldn't
but, really if you were in my position
you would to.
It started long ago, so many stories
but I'll start here,
advice, I've given it freely
sometimes with expectations,
assumptions that it will be adhered to.
Wrong, wrong, wrong,
no one listens to free advice.
I know, I know I should have charged.
I was told that over and over by those
archangels, Michael was always after me.
Anyways, back to the story, I was good
about writing things down in those days,
keeping lists, I had a ton of them.
They were piled up on tablets,
so this guy comes up the mount
we talk a bit.
He tells me his problems,
he was having big problems.
I shook my head it always happens this way.
Well I couldn't keep my mouth shut,
what's an entity to do.
So, I give him a list of ten items,
all simple stuff I know.
I told him follow this, life will run smooth.
Well, well, nothing ever goes as planned,
I really was patient, still
no one wanted to take the advice.
I heard them say it couldn't be that easy.
I kept thinking, yes it is.
I hate to do the whole told you so thing,
I suppose I could, but
I don't.
Michael and Gabe still talk about it,
I suppose I'll never live that one down.
I hear the cries as I read,
good advice was given freely,
the choice was to believe or not.
They all think I'm in control
but really, I gave up running
the universe eons ago.
