heart in the sand

tenderness in eyes
a touch of a gentle man
delicate feelings
my finger draws heart in sand
water wash footprints away

I loved this

I loved this Tanka Raskin so true water does wash away prints so quickly few words says it all ,hugs from Willow.

Thanks willow

I grew up on a beach, built many sand castles, drew a lot of pictures in the sand, a few hearts as well. I watched them all wash away. Footprints in the sand are fascinating, the detail that is left before they are finally washed away, the tides do their work. I'm wordy today. raskin

I like the sentiments of this piece but the format made it sound just a bit choppy to me. Structured poetry is difficult.

emotions, especially strong ones, don't run smooth. falling in love can be a choppy experience. I thought about adding joiners but then decided against it. I thought I would leave it as is. raskin
