As always I stand
no support
it's always been me
only me
my arms spread
I receive the world
all that it is
surrounds me
envelopes me
I watch as leaves
fall, tumbling
swirling around my feet
the moon's light
shines on me
and I feel love
all around
intimately,
I feel the cold
breath of winter
next to my skin
stepping in
next to the fire
warmth is close
I watch as the blood root
unfurls in the spring
waking me
from my slumber
flowers burst
in their exuberance
I breathe it all in
it is all love to me.
