Calmed heart
With a sense of warmth
there was another sense.
He could feel it on the breeze,
heard it in the rustle of the leaves
as they whispered.
Resting,
waiting for the arrival of mother
her wings would surround him
bringing him closer to her soft feathers.
His heart calmed at the thought,
eyes closed he felt love.

Beautiful!
I think September is going to quite an inspirational month for us all. Who cannot feel calm after reading this?
Thank you
for such a nice compliment. This is a snippet of a collaboration with a friend of mine but I liked it and thought it formed a nice sentiment. I'm playing around a bit with form to see how it works. raskin
