before the fall, leaves
Helplessly I watched as words fell
fluttering with the breeze
floating down, listing side to side,
for all to see, unintended but
curled, colorful, brittle at times,
lightly settling,
littering the ground,
finally becoming real.
I tried to pick them up,
rake them in to one pile,
the wind would take hold of one
I'd watch it tumble away,
free at last,
off to tell my story
all the bits and pieces
of my life lying on the ground
for all to see.

Runaway Leaves
Those leaves are precious to us, but there's no way we can keep them all in the bundle.. a few stubborn ones will eventually drift away to tell of our private allegories{they're natural born paul reveres} BRYCE
