Sinking Paper Boat

Tonight, there's an elephant in my room
And it is crying
A torrent of water filled the room
So I made a letter
Fold it into a fictitious boat
And point it somewhere blissful and alluring

So I close my eyes
Shuddering to the coldness of night
Lying at the edge
Trying to ignore what's in my room
As my soul gradually escaped my body

A light cascading down my face woke me up
A sign of a beautiful day
My room dried up
And a hard tattered paper is on the floor
A smudged lettering is written
"come back to me"
And then I smiled
