My Favourite Places

There’s a hollow in her hand
That needs to be filled with mine…

A beach of powder white sand
Where we cheerfully recline…

There are two lovely lips
Just waiting for a tender kiss…

Glass of Tears

If you hold out a glass up to the sky
Will the clouds fill it with tears?

If you peer inside you will surely sigh,
See, a history of unhappy years.

If you raise that glass you would reply:

A Sliver of Silver

Gently falling
From the midnight sky
A sliver of silver
Dropped into my open palm.

Slowly
It melted
Into a little
Silver pool,
Caressing
Each fold,
Each crease;
Quiescent in quietude

Today,Tomorrow,Forever

Today I will love you
Come sun or rainy weather,
Don’t think I will leave you,
No, this bond none can sever.

Tomorrow, I will love you
As long as you hold my hand,

Naked

Not a stitch is seen
No clothing on her smooth form -
See the statue smile!

Memories Of You

“Time is a healer” they say,
It takes away the pain,
Much like how sunshine
Evaporates the rain.

So why is there an aching
Deep within my chest?
Why do tears still well up

August Child

Born when winds are warmest
When the sun shines high overhead,
When the sea tempts and tantalises
And picnics are most oft spread.
Of this genius heart and mind

A Year in Haiku

JANUARY
Delightful display
of snowdrops bowing white heads
to a warming sun.

FEBRUARY
Green buds now appear
indicating spring will soon
energise us all.

MARCH
Lambs gambol in fields

Oil on Water

Next to a gutter
A liquid rainbow waltzes
Till one raindrop falls
From a ragged golden leaf,
Disturbing the short-lived peace.

Walking Along the Seashore

Picking up pebbles
Or seashells strewn on soft sand
Is so relaxing.

In Your Shoes

I feel like a lonely leaf
So high up on a tree,
Buffeted, with no relief
In sight to set me free.
My heart has a pain
That will not go away,
I’m wreathed in a chain
Imprisoning me all day.

Her Blue Eyes

Like liquid sapphires
Attracting my loving gaze
Her eyes steal my heart.

Eureka!

Thought sparks an idea
Bright lightbulb above my head
Pure inspiration!

Kitten

Little girl smitten
At sight of tabby kitten
Her heart leaps for joy.

Forwards and Backwards

One step forwards, two steps back
Is a familiar manner we tread;
We seem unsure of which way to go,
A Labyrinth of routes in each head.
Do I go left, or do I go right,
