White Butterflies
White butterflies fall
From a cloudy winter sky
Covering green blades
And there is where they will lie,
Slowly melting like a sigh.
‘Tis a pity they
Only dance for a short while,
Such fleeting beauty
Collects into a soft pile
Making the child in us smile.

This truly made me smile..
Hi poetmaster,
This is such a lovely piece.
I've felt the butterflies falling around me.
Thank you for writing.
I love butterflies. I love snow.
