Rachel's Sympathy

A violin string calls

From a chord pressed,

A heartstring trembles

From within her breast,

A puppet string snaps

From the stress and the strain,

Sympathetic sounds

From her mouth pour again.

As soft as the tunes

Of bow, or heartbeat,

Both are melodious,

And sound just as sweet.

As playful as the puppet,

Or her acts of sympathy,

Both are keenly seen

By the Lord of you and me.

A leprous man

Huddled by the cold roadside,

Such a sense of suff’ring

She just cannot abide.

A little, lonely lamb

Laying hurt by a stone wall

Enjoys her tender care

Moments after its fall.

In pain is the leper,

And she’s in pain too,

Unable to cure him

It nearly cuts her in two.

As humble as that lamb

She too enjoys protection

From her Master Shepherd

Of whom she shows affection.

Beautiful

and tender, a real melodious quality to your words Paul-a lovely story too :D ♥

Cheers

Enjoyed writing it. :-)
