Pretty Ballerinas
Pretty pink ballerinas
Danced all in a row
On thin, tenuous stems
Their beauty they did show.
Such pretty pink petals
Hung carefree in warm air
And stirred a sense of happiness
Simply by just by being there.
Did I hear a tinkling sound
As a gentle summer breeze
Blew amid the flowers
The bushes and the trees?
Their dance was so special
I just had to stand and pause,
Looking in admiration
I prepared my applause.
But then, they gave an encore
A delightful little ballet,
Such beautiful Ballerinas,
In their presence I had to stay!
