Ending

The double funeral was beautiful.
Closed caskets,
But beautiful.
Tess, Chloe, and a lot of kids
From school showed up.
Our families cried
But we knew the secrets,
The heartache left in us.
The note explained it all
And the cops had no choice
But to take Brooklyn's father
Into custody.
Upon further investigation
And results of an autopsy,
He was charged with rape.
Mercedes' dad enrolled in
Anger management
And AA meetings,
Along with her mom.
Brooklyn's mom went, also.
A little late,
But at least they went.
It only took the death
Of two girls.
Two flowers in the storm.
When the storm blew over,
They stayed with each other,
Even in death.
Delicate hearts ripped in two
Drift away into the night,
But they are never
Forgotten.
