A Hurting Son
Dont be lonely my son
The night will not be long
She has betrayed your loyalty
And your heart for so long.
What could I do
What could I say
Your heart was still on your sleeve
To betray your trust
And show you how long
She had planned to leave
Your pain now you know
What secrets we kept
Is too much for me to share
With anything that I ve known
Or will know again
There s nothing that I can compare
If I could give a transfusion of strength
Or wisdom I ve gainded on my journey
To help anyone through
The pain of love unrequited
Then my son I would give this to you.
I d be a rich man
Be ahead of the plan
No more of these risks I would take
I d sell bottles of blood
With the Brand Antilove
And money and fame I would make
So come here my son
Feel the arms that enfold
You to keep you as safe as we can
And never forget its her that has lost
A kind and beautiful man

Wow
periwinkle,
This is such a gentle and knowing piece. The understanding and warmth shown can only be a family thing and you illustrated it so well.
