Baking Cookies in My Negligee

Please help me I'm falling,
and I can't get up.
The grease on the floor
spilled out of my cup.

Measuring canola
shouldn't be that hard,
but the lid was stuck
on my jar of lard.

To substitute some oil
seemed the way to go;
it’s a healthy choice
with an easy flow.

Well, that cup full of oil
in my firmest grasp
flew up in the air
when you made me gasp.

I just want you to know
I'm a skittish soul,
and you sure scared me
with that big ski pole.

I thought you were outside,
and I was alone,
when you poked my rear
and let out a moan.

With my feet in the air
and oil on the floor,
you might as well do
want you came in for.

You haven't missed a beat

Sharon,

You still got it kiddo. The visuals in this piece had my poor old boddy joggling with chuckles at 6:43 AM. Good way to start any day.

Again welcome to our family. You will be meeting Linda, Joyce, DebborahAnn, Scareysquirel, David, Raskin, FreeSpirit and the rest in due time.

The Mayor (Emeritous),

Pete

Thanks

Thanks, Pete, for the welcome, comment, and intros. I did sent your message to Ron, and he thanked me. When I came across him on another site last fall, he explained that his time is limited and that's why he doesn't post much on that site. I've actually gone back to writing more humor and thought the post I shared was the funniest of the recent bunch.

Sharon

O course you know you're welcome
