Their chalk and cheese, how hasn’t it brought them to their knees?
Everyone see’s but can’t believe what’ll it take for them to see?

Like chalk and cheese pizza and cream ice cream and peas
They don’t want to hear it but maybe it’s not meant to be

This is a humble opinion of an outsider looking in
Sees what’s happening, arguing, jealous rages, behaving erratically

Two parts of one heart, can’t be together or apart
They put hands on each other in front of people that love them

It’s astounding; maybe this cloud doesn’t have a silver lining
Maybe it’s time to move on, maybe not and it’s just another song

Who knows only the hands of time will reveal life’s plans
There’s living proof here he stands “almost” a new man

He’s not trying to be wise, he’s not trying to disguise
Who he is or who he was an angry alcoholic mess

Drugs to feel less but he left it behind, the ultimate test
Take some advice from your adopted big brother coz he loves ya…

This is coming from the heart, every word of every verse
Everyone knows they have issues being together and apart

Every chorus without distortion gives a portion of thoughts
On this situation that ought to end before they end up hurting

Everyone around them cares for them
No give and take just love or hate it seems there’s no in-between

It spirals out of control when the drama coincides
With alcohol but that’s just manipulation of their minds

Confined by uni life confused they think it feels right
In light of recent events I can’t keep sitting on the fence

If we`re honest it’s an abusive relationship no-one’s business
But it kills me seeing them like this on a regular basis

They refuse to face it everyone around is so helpless
It just ain’t happening sometimes it gets so irritating

No one can do it for them the decision lies with them alone
It’s up to both of them to see this through, either way, but soon…
