Immortal Truths
no selfish or partial joy
creation engulfed in the ocean of pain was now to obtain release
birth
death
growth
decay
treasures that are eternal
bodies fall to dust
but the truths of the mind will not be destroyed
truth knows neither birth nor death
it has no beginning and no end
truth is the immortal part of the mind
truth gives to mortals immortality
all living creatures are what their past actions made them
born for the sake of everything that lives
doubt in the existence of the soul is irreligious
the ego liberating itself from all limitations
practicing religion by the neglect of moral conduct
deeply woven into the tapestry are
shadows of doubt
poetry
sweat
human misery
splendor and
belief
the dazzling kaleidoscope of humanity

Deep
Deep and thoughtful poem about the human condition. Fantastic write, Ophelia.
