if i could

If I could take the night
and wrap around u,
take the stars and make u a crown,
make a river yours so u can swim in it
make my heart produce a loving beat,
put it on a disc let it whirl u,
while we listen to it play,
dance with u, my sweet coco brown girl
dance with u, till the light of day
if I could

Room after room, I hunt the house through
we inhabit together fearing nothing, enjoying everything
and as Shakespeare would say
"O Mistress mine, where are you roaming?

O, stay and hear; your true love's coming,"

u don’t have 2 dress yourself up
i'll try my best 2 give u the best
u don't need 2 pass no test
All i want is u
Nothing else
no 1 else

if i could i’ll make the moon mellow
and drop the suns’ golden bars upon the hay-field yellows.

give u twilights soft and gray,

and give u perfect love every night and day,

u are sweet, O Love, dear Love,

u are soft and sweet my coco brown dove.

u don’t have 2 dress yourself up
i'll try my best 2 give u the best
u don't need 2 pass no test
All i want is u
Nothing else
no 1 else

this is truly Gorgeous!

you turned me to mush with this one!
your smooth approach and well worded imagery made this one of the sweetest love poems in this site. I mean that.
the first stanza was just dreamy, and repetition in the end finished a perfect ending.
more please!

~Tender~

J,

You definitely know how to write about love! This is more than charming, it is authentic! Your words are very tender.

~Pest Control~

J,

I wanted to land on this beautiful love poem of yours and give you my thanks. Thanks for taking on our unkind pest the past few days. I sincerely appreciate the fact that you stood up for God and your fellow poets. You are a fine man.

Sincerely,

Kathy Paysen
