A Heart Saw Another
A heart saw another, one day,
Pure love, looking at pure love,
An attraction of happiness and joy,
A feeling indescribable by song or poem.
Saw right through to each other,
Saw that they were the same,
Loved instantly, and forever,
Love that always was.
But the cage was ugly, and unbreakable,
A heart bound by fear,
Not free,
Caged passion; caged desire; caged longing.
After the moment,
Tears.
Crying.
The agony of a trapped heart.
"She's protecting me, I can't get out",
"Please come closer",
"Please try harder...To get past her",
"Please don't leave me".
“I’m so sorry”,
“But I must go”,
“She isn’t letting you out”,
“I love you so much”.
Is your heart free?
Is your heart free to feel what it wants to feel - to do what it wants to do?
Are you afraid to let everything down – your fears, your insecurities, your ego?
Are you a living, breathing, walking, DAMAGED person?
That's okay.
Make a start.
Try/Embark/Strive/Begin, letting everything DOWN,
Everything that is UP...and protecting you.
Or maybe you want to go to your grave having protected yourself your entire life?
Just say 'NO'.
Life, and Love, will begin at any age.
