I remember dreaming about you
Underneath a rainbow with a sigh,
Staring up toward the clouds
Watching them drift and caress the sky.

I thought of you so many times
Dreamsome day to day,
How much you warmed my heart
And affected me in so many ways.

But fate, it held the painbrush
That painted lifes picture you see,
It forgot to paint me with you,
It forgot to paint you with me.

My rainbow disappeared from view
For years my sky was grey,
And remained so for the longest time
Until it seems, today.

When I soulfully looked toward the sky
And I noticed the clouds had cleared,
And for a moment I almost lost my breath
As you beautifully re appeared!

Will I be able to lay under the rainbow
With you, for the rest of my days?
With heartfelt words you tell me
Fate moves in mysterious ways.

We draw close and you tenderly kiss me
And the rainbow glows like never before,
Fate frames the picture now painted
And the paintbrush is needed no more
