Aurora
Fair Aurora,
Paints her sky with brush strokes of amethyst
On misty clouds, she rides
Past the glory of the Morning Star
A sea of opal pours through gates of sleep
And pearly clouds gather like foam on timeless waves
As she pushes back the night on her turquoise tide,
Making way to mother-of-pearl.
note: Aurora was a goddess of the dawn.

Lovely morning poem. raskin
Thank you, Raskin!
Glad you liked my ode to the dawn. A beautiful Florida dawn last year inspired this one.
