Going To a Catholic School (narrative essay) Pt. 3

Fourth period was Topics in Science with Mr. Sherry.
He was a tall guy with a stick in his hand. My first impression of him was a little scary.
But he was cool guy with a sense of humor.
We became cooler and cooler in the near future.
The best memories of St. Joes were 5th period with Ms. Vitha the algebra teacher. Ms. Vitha was the best I couldn’t get anything pass her, she could spot a cheater.

Ms. Vitha: “David do you have your homework?”

Me: “Yeah Ms. Vitha it’s folded in my pocket on my shirt”

Ms. Vitha: “Well take it out your pocket because were about to go over the answers.”

Me: “Okay!”

Ms. Vitha: “Don’t do it with an attitude, do it like you have some manners”

I didn’t have my homework so I came up with a plan:
Participate and write the answers as we go, pretend I didn’t understand
so I could to get points for raising my hand.
She went on down the list and was getting closer to my row.
I got scared because I’m trying to leave this school. I couldn’t afford a zero.
I held my head up high and waited till she called my name.

Ms. Vitha: “David! What’s the answer to Number ten?”

Me: I don’t know. I had problems with that one. Can we go over it again?

Ms. Vitha: No! Try the next one going down the row!”

Me: Oh that one is easy. The answer is zero.”

Ms. Vitha: good and that’s your grade for your homework assignment

Me: “Why?”

Ms. Vitha: “because I see you writing the answers down. Now hush your mouth and be silent”
