I Set my Hair on Fire Whist She Fucked Her Boyfriend
I set my hair on fire
Because her eyes
are so crystal
Blue
like a carious Caribbean Sea
And now she
laughs in a daydream far away
Pouring sexual silk astray
Milking tampons in dismay
On her exhibited display
Night thoughts-
despondent-
feckless in disarray
AND I AM
Languishing hollow,
through wrist slitting sonnets
as she renders diffident cackles-
all very respondent to a depleted decay
I was born in this burial gown
Subconsciously,
she burglarizes every terrific tomorrow...
a gruesome gesture of testicular amputation-
a fire-breathing panty-clad corpse so
bipedal, Darwin's luck, her
text-message ringing elsewhere and
her ocular telepathy
playing inseminal,
subliminal communicates
forwards,
diagonally,
mumbling…
Terminal...
Her crumbling hourglass anomalous to a swastika
And now.
As a banshee in bondage.
I WILL scream at her mirror!
Lest we not forget Melbourne?!
Melbourne!
Loading kangaroos
onto assembly lines
with pockets of pearls
Melbourne!
Kangaroos hopping backwards
Sizzling in her sun
Melbourne!
Kangaroos flopping comatose
Rumbling in her rum
Melbourne, the palace of infamy!
Mierda!
Can’t SHE see? That was ME again!
I WAS the kangaroo
I AM the kangaroo
Oh, what the hell,
Never Mind!!!!!!!!!!
She’s probably fucking her boyfriend as I write this

What I like Most...
What I like most about your writing is your 'fearlessness'...and i believe we become greater writers through honest, self expression and not being afraid to write/examine and experiment many different things and topics.
There were certain things that stood out this piece for me - 'She burglarizes every terrific tommorrow' wow..and i think that you can definately take these thoughts further, and the opening line..that draws the audience in. Again i can see much of Plath in your work.
Debs
Thanks, Debs, for the kind
Thanks, Debs, for the kind words. Plath is one of my favorite poets and has been a tremndous influence on me. I'm flattered to even be mentioned in the same sentence as her. Thanks for reading and commenting. Peace, NSF

Thanks, Ron. You know I have
Thanks, Ron. You know I have read some of your work. I thought "Harbour of Resentment" was a good piece. The reason I see you in the light that I do is because you attacked me personally and called me names. Don't expect people to like you when you do that. I guess other people on this haven't called you out on it, but I will. I never wanted any problems with you, Ron, but I won't back down from you, either, and if I see you pushing someone else around, I'm going to speak up about it. Again, I never wanted problems with you. If you'd change your tone in these comments sections, we wouldn't have any problems. Peace, NSF
If you say so ...

I re-read my comments to you and don't see where I brought anything in as personal. I kept it in the context in which you were presenting yourself ie. justification for your language such as the growing up in NYC and the ABC's thing. If anything you went personal with the drug comment, my personal blog site and especially questioning my military envolvement and suggesting the killing of civilians. I never killed anyone...that didn't deserve it. Not nice !!! Plus having "Unknown-Legend" joining in with his childish comments only fueled the fire.
People for the most part like me and my comments, I have close to a year on this site to attest to that. On the other hand you just came onto the site. You shouldn't be so thin skinned when you get comments back when addressing a shock valued piece. I suggest we go our ways, I'll continue to read your writes and filter my comments to you.

PS thankyou for reading Harbor of Resentment its only one of about 100 that I have posted here. Feel free to read them.
Well, I disagree with your
Well, I disagree with your assertion that my anti-McCain poem, or any of my pieces, are for shock value. Not all my pieces involve profanity and when I curse it is in context. (I'm from the Carlin school of profanity.) I was pissed off about the campaign and wrote a pissed off piece about it. Unknown didn't help at all with his comments, and I found your comments uncalled for as well and beyond creative criticism and so I merely defended myself and my work. We disgree strongly about American foreign policy and should leave it at that. I don't think I'm thin skinned but will defend my work without apologies. And I haven't just joined on this site, either, I've been here for almost six months. Anyways, I usually avoid this sort of shit because it's stupid to argue on the internet. Let's keep it civil from now on. If not, I might act like an uncaged organgutan on acid with a bad case of constipation and run down to every street corner in every red state in America and poke motherfuckers in the eyeballs like the Three Stooges. I'm just crazy like that. Peace, NSF
I like your style
It's lovely, yet edgey and dark. I like that. Looking forward to reading more of your work as I have time.
Peace & Blessings!

I'm going through your poems..

set my hair on fire
Thanks again for digging through these. I wrote this awhile back and have edited it a few times; however I'm still not totally happy with it. Hope you enjoyed, though. :)
