In The Space Between
This waiting is a wretched ache, a wringing of my heart
Oh mercy, pray forbid delay of Water's coursing chart
Renewing every bend in clean, this Flood I know shall be
Lessons
You reign on this road ahead
I say as I tread
Scold me and shake me
Tatter, please break me
If I run from the way that's Yours
I will listen all the more
Cry out and implore
Mind Your 'Havior
"Limping", "spinning", "little fool"
How’d you dare to sever rule
Mind you ‘havior ‘bout this block
The plot’s to thieve your breathing clock
The plot’s to add another joke
Untitled
'Fore the Babe, ‘yond the grave
There's power in His name
That can calm the tempest rage
Free a soul from a cage
Plunged the tree did the stake
His life they'd not take
Gladly He did lay
Polite Affections
**This does not work, by the way...You can't get over deep hurts without choosing to forgive...In some cases, I face this choice daily...Somedays, I fail to make the right choice, and I suffer for it.
Resolution
It's complicated.
Tension's setting,
Distemper's petting,
The crown of a grated nerve.
Attempt to soothe
The ego-bruise…
Forgiveness, dare I serve?
Wrong or right,
I bear the fight,
The Longing
Lost in honest thankfulness
Inquire not of me
Leave me free, missing
Amongst affections for Thee
Leave me undone, ruined
Amongst Your highest praise
Hallelujah
Oh, Hosanna
Turn About
Turn about
That’s not the way you should go
Poor fellow who does not know
With each turn there’s an eye-view of hope
The sensation of growth
And a joy overflow
The Window Chronicles: 31 January 2009
I love this kitchen window
Beyond the glass and pane
Always conversation
My eyes are sure to gain...
Upon the fence line sneaks
Orange sherbet gleam
Calling, "What will be of this day?"
For Andrew Blackley
The red one
He writes
Oh, the clever rage between the blue, upon the white
Short you thought
But then you think
You missed the power of his pen, because you chose to blink

For Ayoola Oke
Mellow man
And his blue smile
Oh, he'll bend your ear five past a while
You'll listen to language deep, complete
Dance to rhythms by syllable
Then, He's left you...
...moved

The King and His Daughter (Inspired by Psalm 45)
Views from afar
Slow to draw close
Come see My glory
And all that I hold
I've loved you...
I love you...
Thinks that she's plain
But soon she will see
That she has My heart
The Show
Dress us up, dress us down
You may not have noticed
We're clothed with frowns
Cue the sound
Hit the lights
The show begins
To shadow our plight
Suited
Charming
Useful

The Window Chronicles: Morning, 27 January 2009
I love this kitchen window
Beyond the glass and pane
Always schooling sights
My eyes are sure to gain...
A robin and a sparrow
Stand in unity
Neither cares for differences
