I love to write, I love to rhyme
It lets me sit and pass the time
It lets me lose myself in thought
Construct emotions like iron wrought

When I create I feel alive
My thoughts produced, no place to hide
They’re on a page in front of me,
My path to take is there to see.

The things I need to do are there
And so I sit alone and stare
At feelings that I used to keep
Inside, but now they seep, unleashed .

I put it out for all to see
And revel in anonymity
But feedback comes from all around
And lifts my heels up off the ground..

Each day I type the URL
This little site of show and tell
I see so much creative spark
It brings relief, light made from dark.

I read the work from other poets
They’re all so good, but some don’t know it
At least they have a voice to say
“I’m here right now”! Thoughts to convey.

And so I say you must remember.
Heat rises from the smallest ember.
Sometimes you’re nervy, insecure
So write it down, this is the cure.

Keep posting writes for all our pleasure
For in them we find words we treasure.
And from this you take satisfaction
When you read a nice reaction.

I love to write and so do you
It gives us something fun to do
It makes me smile to read your writes
They keep me up near half the night.
