Memories- I miss you

The memory of your face haunts me

When I walk into the café
I see you like I saw you
at the corner booth beckoning to me

When I pass by the book shop
I see you like I saw you
waiting for me to sit with you

Passing by the ice-cream parlor
I see you like I saw you
feeding me a spoon of sweet vanilla

At night in the local bar
I see you like I saw you
laughing and talking with our friends

I walk home alone in the rain
I see you like I saw you
holding me close as we walked home

And as I lay in our bed alone I weep
I see you as I saw you
besides me, rocking me to sleep

I miss you

missing....

I read this - each moment causing an ache as I read it...you wrote with every word giving out such feeling...thanks for sharing..

Well done !

Yes, the pain comes through heavily in your words.... like it is still fresh and new, I hope not !
