Twisted Fantasies

"Never again will you ever sleep
Calm and peaceful like they do in dreams."

The words of a demon
Echoing in my mind;
Impish and vile,
Sending shivers down my spine.

Clutching my head,
Sweat rolling off me in waves,
The fragmented message
Shatters my defenseless brain.
Rattling my senses,
Pulverizing my soul:
'Tis the premonition of hell:
And the punishment doled.

Eyes screwed shut as I despondently wail
Wordless pleas for my torment to end;
"Every attempt to breathe shalt fail,"
Choking on my ambition, my lies I must mend.

What brought on the onslaught
Of body and mind?
Well, 'twas but my own lust
Ensuring punishment divine!

My eyes are bloodshot,
My skin blemished and bruised;
My face is flushed, scorching
As I quiver for you.
And I know, as I tremble, what I want;
However horrid, it's innocence I flaunt.
I'll never accept that
It's you I crave,
Bending the walls of reality in a deceitful haze.
