I Will Not Forget

Lazily gazing
At fluffy white as it pours
Splashes of soul into the deep,
Bright blue.
But I don't want this sky;
I want to see
Beyond the sunset
And grasp the blazing starlight.

Daylight is my barrier,
That of which holds me in;
But the river flows unbridled
And silver with the moon.
That piercing sight,
That scathing silence;
I want to hear you,
I want to touch you.

I wish to encompass
Your fiery soul.
I want to gather your essence
In my arms.
Holding it close,
Even as the day wanes,
"I will not forget,"
Come chant it
And sing it.

Your first stanza

is my favourite, stunning imagery all the way through. I can see in my mind's eye exactly what you're saying, you paint a perfect picture with your words :D ♥

Aw, shucks
