Flame to a Fire

I pine and long and quiver all o'er;
And with trembling hands I try to grasp
What brought me here,
Brought me to this:
Shameful desires I dare not rasp.

I sear and scold and writhe all over,
Forging treason in my chest.
I know what I was,
But I'm resolved, you know,
Not to bestow my heart
Till I know myself best.

I want to grasp the glittering stars
Falling from the sky like diamond drops.
I want to envelop you,
Become the wind,
Devour you,
And watch it go up in smoke.

I want to eat it up
And relish this feeling
Before my heart stops cold and the morning comes.
Let it beat, let it race
'Till we can't dance no more;
'Till the din in my head roars
The loudest thunderclap.

Smoking

Grasp all you can, for sometimes you only get one chance at things...mixture of feelings in this, and the use of words...I've over-dosed on this one, great job! :D ♥
