On the outside, my house was bright and beautiful
Yet on the inside felt so bare
I searched and searched for what was missing
But everything seemed to be there

At a glance everything appeared to be in order
Yet I felt there was a hole to fill
For the walls grew dark and colder
They were coming in for the kill

I looked far and wide for the final piece to the puzzle
But where on earth could it be
I asked God to please help me find it
Before the walls crashed down on me

The house started to falter
Still I couldn’t imagine why
The foundation was sturdy
Yet the structure began to die

I had all but given up on searching
When I finally found the clue
The thing I needed to keep the walls from falling
Was Y.O.U.

I have at last filled that hollow space
But there is still one thing I must do
