September

Now the holiday makers are departing,
An epitome of new life is starting.
And there's a green freshening glow,
Rising from the grains of the earth.

Only whispers accompany silence.
Whilst the beasts of the world seek guidance.
And the essence of anticipation
Awaiting a joy of birth.

The blue bottles and bees,
The solitude weeping from the heart of the trees.
That leafy shimmer,
Flowing through the rippling streams.
September is here, a time to replenish your dreams.

Revive your soul,
Release the pain,
September is here to bring refuge again.
Your worries and fears, that stretch through the years,
Hold out your hand and grasp a promised land,
And you will learn to smile, take heed for a while
And you will never forget, but remember
September.

The crispy sound on the trodden path,
The valleys enchanted aftermath.
And the absence of lighter eve
Replaced by a frosty morn.

Though the sun gives its final say,
Before departing to let autumn play
And shedding its love
When a new acorn is born.

Little child,
I will see that your free as a horse in the wild,
And I will comfort you
Through every corner of the year.
You'll never feel alone or abandoned
During the times of trial and fear.

Revive your soul,
Release the pain,
September is here to bring refuge again.
Your worries and fears, that stretch through the years,
Hold out your hand and grasp a promised land,
And you will learn to smile, take heed for a while
And you will never forget, but remember
September.
