Write "Love" on All Your Bottles

There is a science
Of studying the crystalization of water.

Bottles of water labeled "Hope"
And "Love" and "Joy"
Produce ice crystals of
Amazing complexity and symmetry.

Bottles of water labeled "Hate"
And "Fear" and "Destruction"
Produce dull and asymmetric ice crystals.

Perhaps this is just a case
Of hopeful perspective
Or evaluator bias.

Perhaps.

But for now
I'll write "Love" on all my bottles.

The science of love...

Mark great write here...i really agree with stuff like this. I read when you are feeling blue...if you smile it will take you right out of that bad or sad mood...its a natural remedy for happiness...you cant possibly be sad if the corners of your mouth are turned upwards!!!

The same with writing LOVE... on bottles or anywhere else....you cant help but FEEL it.

I LOVE your thinking!

Thanks Linda. I was going

Thanks Linda.

I was going for a bit of hope to outshine the naiveté.

I hope you had a great Christmas and that you had the boys back for awhile.

~Masaru Emoto~

Dear Mark,

You did a wonderful job with this poem. It is very well composed and peeks everyone's interest. We all could use a dose of LOVE.

You are enticing our poetry community to learn more about the research of Masaru Emoto. He has written several books. Last March, I read and wrote a piece for the blog titled, "The Water Planet ~ 2009". I summarized what I learned from his fantastic book titled, "The True Power of Water: Healing and Discovering" (Published by Simon & Schuster 2005).

This is a great book to read as we conclude the end of a very hard, historic year.

Water is what we are. Without our water planet, there would be no life. Water is our essence. If we can drink in LOVE by marking our bottles of water with LOVE - it is well worth the effort.

Thanks for bringing LOVE and WATER to mind this beautiful day. Happy New Beginnings 2010!

Warm regards,

Kathy Paysen

Thank you, Kathy.

Yes, Emoto's works are very interesting. Not that I hold his pictorial studies as subjectively absolute, but it HAS to be beneficial for us to have intimate focus and concern for water. I'll have to keep my eyes out for "The True Power of Water."

Another water theorist

By the way, another person who was "way into" unusual water theory was Viktor Schauberger. He thought stuff like -- forested areas induce water tables to rise toward the surface -- things like that. He's worth exploring.

Here's a Wiki page on him.
