Ohhh—
Stinky pterodactyl
In the land of Goo
Going all protractile
Licking on a shoe
Tearing lice from bedsprings
In a most endearing way
Wooly pterodactyl
Bee-Dactyl-Doo I. A.
Groggy pterodactyl
Slipping off to sleep
Grunts and squeaks and scrunches
While gnawing proto-sheep
Ripping flesh from tendon
It’s what you like to do.
Silly ol’ pter’dactyl
Bee-Dactyl-Dandy Doo.
Oh, once I had a girl friend
Her hair and eyes so fair
She had an alteration
That really made me care
I couldn’t use the ancient screeds
To tell me what to do.
I turned to pterodactyl.
We ate a kangaroo.
Screechy pterodactyl
Flying ‘round my head
Snapping at exposed parts
That’s hanging off my bed
Teeth as sharp as candy
That’s sucked until its thin
Purdy pteradactyl
Bee-Dactyl-Doo I. M.

Adorable!!! You sir, have a great imagination. Im not a kid...anymore but I sure love this. Such great visuals.
My favorite lines are:
"Teeth as sharp as candy
That’s sucked until its thin"
I hope this really is in a childresn book. Its wonderful!

Thank you from Missouri hills country
Thanks Linda.
When I write stufff like this I don't know whether I like it or not myself...but it's different, and I think poetry needs different every once in awhile.
