A TRAMP
A tramp
A gentleman of the road
I am
Have all my treasures
In this ere pram
A down and out
They say to me
Weather worn
But always cosy
A life I choose
I must admit
The pressure of life
Took a grip
So I escaped
To life on the streets
No cares or worries
My life’s complete
Now I must find
Some food to eat
And find a dry place
For me to sleep
Gentleman of the road
That’s what I am
A tramp

Wow
You sure make the life of a tramp sound a lot more glamorous that it actually is. I do believe, like you, that some folks living on the street are there by choice.

Back afew years
Back in the 80's I knew a woman.Homeless if you will.that was a wealthy woman. She chose to live on the streets. Her family tried to have her commented but in court she was proved fit and she continued to live as she chose to.
